Katie and Eoin’s Glass House Community wedding was the kind of day that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. From the second I arrived, there was this calm joy in the air. The kind that instantly tells you it’s going to be a beautiful day. Every moment felt so genuine and in-the-moment, filled with laughter, color, and connection.
The Glass House Community in Zeeland, Michigan (just outside of Grand Rapids) is one of those rare greenhouse wedding venues in Michigan that feels both modern and organic. Surrounded by glass walls and lush greenery, it offers soft natural light from every angle. It was the perfect backdrop for a wedding day that was relaxed and full of love.
I felt deeply connected to this day from start to finish. Katie and Eoin were so easygoing, so full of love, and so present, which made documenting their story an absolute dream. This day was brimming with tenderness, joy, and moments that will on in stories for generations to come!
Katie and Eoin’s Glass House Community wedding morning was filled with calm energy and quiet excitement. This cozy greenhouse wedding venue in Michigan has so much charm, with bright getting-ready spaces and peaceful gardens perfect for first looks. Katie spent the morning surrounded by her girls in a feather-trimmed pajama set before slipping into her elegant off-the-shoulder gown. Eoin got ready separately in a nearby cottage, looking classic in a black suit and polished leather shoes.
I photographed their day on both digital and film. It helped capture every layer of warmth, texture, and emotion that made this Glass House Community wedding feel so full of heart.
The ceremony at The Glass House Community took place beside the greenhouse, surrounded by summer greens and soft blooms from Hyssop Floral. Ducks wandered through the grass, and farm cats made an appearance. Every detail felt perfectly at home at this greenhouse wedding venue in Michigan. The space felt calm, natural, and deeply romantic . Exactly the kind of setting that makes you slow down and take it all in.
I also took a few images from above, because how could I not? The view of the greenhouse, the floral clusters, and rows of wooden chairs coming together under the trees was breathtaking. It was one of those scenes that reminds me why I love photographing Glass House Community weddings. It really does have beauty from every angle, and moments that feel completely unposed!
As the sun dipped lower and golden light spilled through the trees, guests gathered outdoors for cocktail hour. Later, everyone moved inside the greenhouse for dinner. It’s impossible not to fall in love with this space. The Glass House Community feels both intimate and open, with soft light streaming through the glass and greenery wrapping around every corner. This greenhouse wedding venue in Michigan transforms throughout the day, each hour revealing something new.
For the reception, Hyssop Floral repurposed the ceremony arrangements into lush tablescape accents that brought everything full circle. The long wooden table stretched through the greenhouse, covered in soft linens, candles, and garden blooms. The cake, lovingly made by the bride’s aunt Jenny, sat nearby surrounded by greenery and homemade desserts. Dinner, catered by Partage, felt warm and communal. Everyone gathered together, laughing, sharing food, and soaking in the glow of the evening!
After dinner, Katie and Eoin shared a celebratory shot with their guests. Then Katie slipped into a short, beaded party dress that shimmered beautifully, perfect for golden hour! The two then cut into their cake and danced beneath the trees as string lights twinkled overhead. By that point, the night had settled into something that felt effortless. It was joyful, relaxed, and full of love! Looking back at their photos, you can feel it all — the celebration, the laughter, and the happiness of everyone there.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding day that feels relaxed and full of natural beauty, The Glass House Community might be the perfect place to say “I do.” This greenhouse wedding venue in Michigan has everything you could want — light-filled rooms, lush greenery, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The gardens, open spaces, and glow of the greenhouse at sunset make every wedding feel personal and unforgettable.

“After our first consultation call, I knew Cynthia would be our wedding photographer. Her work speaks for itself and her talent, but the true joy of working with Cynthia is her personality. She made us feel at ease on camera from the start of our engagement shoot through to the wedding day, which helped capture natural, genuine moments.
She was able to make a custom package for us that fit the specific needs of our wedding. She was always a phone call or quick text away if we had any questions throughout the process and assisted in timeline creation and helped our day run smoothly.
When I was looking for a photographer, I really wanted someone who could capture the essence and emotion of the day. Cynthia perfectly balanced artfully composed portraits with candid, authentic moments. On the day of the wedding, she was professional, calm and encouraging, capturing moments I didn’t even know were happening.
We got a large preview gallery just a few short days after the wedding, and the final gallery not long after. The final gallery truly exceeded our expectations. I feel so blessed to be able to look back on these photos for years to come.
I would highly recommend Cynthia for any couple looking for a wedding photographer!”
