Last year the world went from 300-person weddings being on trend to suddenly, brides and grooms having to limit the number of guests that attend their big day. Lauren and Mike are one of the many of thousands of couples who had to shift their wedding plans during the pandemic. They were planning for a wedding in downtown Grand Rapids but decided to move their reception to this year (2021) and have an intimate backyard wedding in 2020 instead. The “love is not cancelled” sign says it all! Though their big day was re-scheduled, they still tied the knot in front of their closest friends and family on Gun Lake in Southwest Michigan.

As Lauren walked down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams, Mike, there was a violinist playing. It was ethereal, truly! Though it wasn’t ‘plan A’, it was perfect in every way. They even had a mini sparkler send off to top off the beautiful evening!

On 9/11/21 they will be able to celebrate and have their wedding reception they hoped for! I can’t wait to be there to capture it all!
