The Day Before: A Rehearsal Dinner at Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant

Getting to photograph Ben and Natalie’s rehearsal before the wedding gave me even more time with Natalie, Ben, and the people closest to them. I love photographing wedding weekends because it means more time together before one of the happiest days of your life, and even more of those memories documented to keep forever!

Details, Getting Ready, & First Look

Natalie and Ben got ready separately before meeting for their first look, with Natalie in a strapless lace gown and Ben in a classic black tuxedo. Their first look brought us out into the vines, such a beautiful location for a first look and portraits. Ben waited between the vineyard rows before Natalie walked up behind him, and his reaction when he turned around was so sweet. Surrounded by all that summer green, it was a simple, beautiful start to their time together before the ceremony.

Tabor Hill Winery Wedding Portraits

After their first look, we stayed outside for portraits and wedding party photos. The vineyard rows gave us that gorgeous Southwest Michigan wine country setting, and the more open areas around the property gave us plenty of room for relaxed group photos and movement.

We also used their ceremony arch as a backdrop for a few portraits. I loved bringing their floral design into the photos before guests arrived. The sage green bridesmaid dresses, black tuxedos, and soft neutrals were perfect against all of the summer greenery.

Tabor Hill Winery Wedding Ceremony Under the Pergola

Natalie and Ben’s ceremony took place outside among the vineyard rows at Tabor Hill Winery. The ceremony space includes a white pergola overlooking the vines, which they covered in white flowers and greenery to tie in with the rest of their wedding design.

Natalie walked down the aisle with her dad before she and Ben exchanged vows beneath the pergola. It was a beautiful setup for a Tabor Hill Winery wedding, with plenty of vineyard views while still feeling intentional.

A Tabor Hill Winery Cocktail Hour & Tented Wedding Reception

After the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour before the reception began inside Tabor Hill Winery’s clear-sided floored tent. The reception space overlooked the vineyards and had wood tables and chairs, sage green linens, white florals, candles, and hanging greenery.

Natalie and Ben made their grand entrance and went right into cutting their cake, followed by formal dances and speeches. Before the dance floor opened, we stepped back outside for a few golden hour portraits, then returned to the tent to finish celebrating their Tabor Hill Winery wedding with everyone.
